Q. No. 6: The farm manager of 800 Holstein-Friesian cattle herd asked you to devise an annual preventive health program based around biosecurity and vaccination. Your task is to provide the farm manager with key information about each of the following topics:
Biosecurity: define farm biosecurity and its role in animal disease control and prevention. Develop comprehensive biosecurity program for this farm, and discuss biosecurity assessment tools.
Vaccination: list the bovine vaccines available in Pakistan and identify which of these would be appropriate for Holstein-Friesian cattle kept in this herd, justifying your recommendations. (20 Marks)
Q. No. 7: Why farm sanitation and waste management program is considered important? And how effectively dairy farm wastes can be procured and utilized for other productive uses? (20 Marks)
